Shu Zhang is a makeup artist based in New York, with a background in painting and fine art.
Her work has appeared in Vogue, L’Officiel, Marie Claire, Nylon, and Paper, spanning both editorial and commercial projects. Shu has collaborated with artists and talents across fashion, music, film and commercial—including Hugh Grant, Aaron Gordon, The Chainsmokers, and LANY—as well as Asian creatives like Rich Brian, Daniel Wu, Chang Chen, Joan Chen, Jane Zhang, Amber Liu.
She has worked on major tours such as Epik High’s THE PUMP North America Tour and The Landlord’s Cat’s World/Youth Tour.
Her film work includes Venus by Water (Fei Mu Jury Award, Pingyao; Cannes Critics’ Week) and Blue Sun Palace (French Touch Jury Prize, Cannes; Cairo IFF).
